Requiring and receiving gifts by the the public official in relation to the exercise of public duties influences or is considered to influence the imaprtiality of the public official.

Summary

All the analyzed countries share similar cultural patterns when casual gifts and related custom are in question. The same apllies to the duty to report offered and received gifts, while some departures from the standard can be noted in the terms of the duty to keep the register of the gifts.
