Standard 6. There is a designated supervisory authority overseeing the implementation of the legislation on public information with the power to set standards, make prescriptions and impose sanctions.

Summary

The legislations of all analysed countries envisage the right to an external appeal with an independent administrative oversight body. However, the law of the Republic of Srpska envisages the appeal to be addressed to a body (the Ombudsman of the Republic of Srpska) that is no longer operational.
