Summary

The legislations of the analysed countries are similar and are mostly in line with relevant international standards. The laws of Kosovo and Montenegro set out an urgent deadline in cases where the life or freedom of a person are contingent on access to requested information. The laws of Albania, BiH and North Macedonia, while prescribing precise timelines, do not promote prompt responses to the requests.
