Indicator 4. All received and offered gifts have to be declared. Same applies for the offers of gifts that were rejected
The obligation to declare all received and rejected gifts is important as a mean for transparency and control in order to avoid conflict of interest and corruption. It also serves as a tool of raising awareness of the undue influence coming from accepting gifts in relation to the exercise of public duty.
