Indicator 5. Existence of legal framework on post-employment restrictions and determination of a reasonable time limit for post-employment (in cases of conflict of interest)

The existence of the clear regulation on post-employment restrictions is an important factor to prevent the occurrence of conflict of interest and preservation of impartiality due to the fact that internal information linked to former public work, programs and policies could in this manner be potentially disclosed and hence lead to conflict of interest and to abuse of given authority.


All the analyzed countries fufill the requirements on this matter with slight differences concerning time limits for the duration of post-employment restrictions.
